Day Thirteen: Pennsylvania or Bust!

Well...all rested up, we hit the road for Pennsylvania, our one stop on the way to Cape Cod.  As we drove, we joked about how the West had been so beautiful with all the mountains and wildlife, and how the Mid-West is so flat, and the only wildlife you see is roadkill...dead raccoons, mostly.  But it was neat pass through so many States and famous cities...

I'm getting good at naming the States on a blank map.
Can you find the states I had been to so far?
Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin & Illinois?

How about Indiana?

Ohio?

Pennsylvania?
I guess Pennsylvania is green for a reason.
The rain destroyed our camping plans.  We ended up stopping at a roadside motel right by...

...Penn State.  Of course, it was late Saturday night and the football game had gone into overtime,
so we ended up surrounded by thousands of fans.
Luckily, Penn State had won!
We got a good night's rest, had a yummy breakfast with fresh waffles, and hit the road.

The storm has passed...

...the sun had broken...

...and the beauty of Pennsylvania was revealed!

There was so much to see...

It was all so green!

And as we moved north, the leaves were turning to beautiful reds, oranges and golds.

Even the rest stops were beautiful!
And then we saw...

...the sign for NYC!
We knew that going into the City would mean more time in the car, but we were so close.
Should we go...?

To be Continued!

SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
