One challenge I faced was figuring out how to make good use of car time. Looping the United States in six weeks meant a lot of hours in the car. What could I do to make it educational...and FUN? Of course...build a Ukulele!!!
I bought a do-it-yourself kit off of Amazon that made it pretty easy.
Step one: Attach the neck. Wood glue, a C-clamp and...Voila!
Then, paint the ukulele's neck...
...and the body.
Use tape to make stripes...
...for a cool Van Halen look!
Use wood glue and a C-clamp to attach the fret board.
Add the tuning keys...
...and attach the strings!
Sweet paint job.
